Santikaro continues to teach on-line with new offerings and in-person whenever possible, mindful that the Covid pandemic continues to impact the lives of vulnerable people and ourselves. Kevala Retreat remains a safe, quiet place for contemplative retreat.

2023 Courses
Santikaro will offer similar courses in 2023. The Healing Meditation and Anāpānasati Practitioners Group will be for 6 months, renewable mid-year.
- “Anapanasati Conversations” for regular practitioners of ānāpānasati, a twice monthly meeting facilitated by Santikaro: resuming January 10th, two Tuesdays at 7:00 pm CST. Please read this description pdf before registering. Now open for registration.
- Guided Healing Meditations: two Monday mornings per month at 7:00 am CST. Starts January 9th. Please read this description pdf before registering. Now open for registration.
- Buddha-Dhamma & Meditation Sangha is a hybrid class based in a La Crosse, WI sangha that has been meeting for years. We meet Wednesday evenings for meditation and Dhamma teaching when Santikaro is able, sometimes in-person (without Zoom) and sometimes on-line (via Zoom). This year will have a specific focus on the fundamental teachings of early Buddhism. Please read this description pdf if you are interested. You don’t have to live in the area to join online sessions and access recordings. Email Santikaro if you wish to participate. (There is no registration Fee. Dana is welcome.)
The Contemplative Journey based in Seeing with the Eye of Dhamma will continued through May 2023. This course will be repeated later, but first we will read and contemplate Heartwood of the Bodhi Tree.
Register for a course here (but only after reading the description carefully).
Make sure you specify which course you are registering for.
These courses are not drop in and out as you feel like it courses. Each of these courses requires a commitment to participate regularly for the six months. To discourage ill-considered registrations, a nominal registration fee is charged (no one will be turned away for lack of funds). This commitment fee does not replace a dana offering for the teaching you receive. Kevala Retreat and Santikaro depend entirely on support from participants for their existence. Please donate as a foundational form of your practice.
